Remote View Management

Every CCTV screen,
controlled from anywhere

EM8 View Hub replaces the stripped-down NVRs behind your public-view monitors and spot screens. It sits on your CCTV network, streams your cameras locally to any screen — and what's displayed is managed from the EM8 Portal, so changing a drive-thru window, reception desk or back-office screen no longer needs a site visit. WiFi enabled, plug-and-play, and works with your existing CCTV system.

Change any screen
without a site visit

Drive-thru windows, hotel receptions, security desks, back offices — wherever you show live CCTV, a View Hub puts that screen under portal control. Pick the cameras from real snapshot thumbnails, choose single view or a grid, hit save — and the screen changes on its own within a minute.

🖱️
Snapshot Layout Editor
See a mock-up of the actual screen in the portal. Choose cameras from live snapshot thumbnails — not channel numbers — and drop them into single, 2×2 or 3×3 layouts.
🏠
Video Never Leaves Site
Camera feeds stream locally over your CCTV network — nothing is sent to the cloud and no internet data is used. Only a tiny check-in reaches the portal.
📶
WiFi or Wired
Every View Hub is WiFi enabled, so it can live wherever the screen is — no need to run a network cable to the drive-thru window. Ethernet is there too if you prefer it.
💓
Screen Health Monitoring
Every hub reports in constantly. If a screen goes dark or a stream drops, it shows in the portal — usually before anyone on site notices.

Viewing stations,
answered

What is EM8 View Hub?
It's a compact, WiFi-enabled appliance that replaces the hard-drive-less "viewing station" NVRs used to put CCTV on screens — drive-thru windows, receptions, public view monitors. It streams your cameras locally to the screen, and what's displayed is controlled remotely from the EM8 Portal.
Does it use my internet data to show the cameras?
No. Camera video streams locally across your own network and never leaves the building — so there's no cloud video, no lag, and effectively zero internet data used. The hub only sends a tiny status check-in to the portal.
Can I really change the screen without visiting site?
Yes — that's the whole point. Open the EM8 Portal, pick the cameras from snapshot thumbnails, choose single or grid view, and save. The screen updates itself within about a minute. It works the same whether it's one screen or every screen across a multi-site estate.
Will it work with my existing CCTV system?
Almost certainly. View Hub works with Hikvision, Dahua and any recorder or camera that provides standard RTSP streams — which covers the vast majority of professional CCTV systems. Nothing about your recording setup changes.
Do I need to run a network cable to the screen?
No — every View Hub is WiFi enabled, so it can join your CCTV network wirelessly and sit wherever the screen is. A wired connection is also available and recommended where a socket is handy.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The screen keeps working. Because the video is streamed locally, an internet outage doesn't affect the display at all — the hub simply keeps showing its last saved layout and re-syncs with the portal when the connection returns.
Which hardware option should I choose?
If there's already a TV or monitor in place, the standard View Hub plugs straight into it over HDMI. The 16″ all-in-one is ideal where there's no screen yet — counters, offices, security desks. The compact 7″ all-in-one is perfect for viewing a single camera at a till point, drive-thru window or gatehouse.

Put every screen under portal control

WiFi-enabled viewing stations that stream locally, cost nothing in data, and change from your phone — for one site or your whole estate. Book a demo and watch a screen update itself.
