Product use case
Personal Trackers add a wearable SOS route to Tracking Guardian. A badge can appear on the fleet map and send an alert with the wearer’s name, location and time when assistance is requested.
Where it fits
This workflow is relevant to teams whose engineers sometimes work away from their vehicles or attend sites alone. The device should fit into an agreed lone-worker procedure with named responders and clear escalation arrangements.
A practical workflow
- Allocate the appropriate device to each user, confirm connectivity at the places they work and explain how tracking is used.
- Agree who monitors alerts, how they contact the wearer and what happens if the first responder is unavailable.
- Practise an authorised SOS test and review the information received, then maintain the device and response procedure as part of normal operations.
What to confirm
Confirm the device model, coverage, charging requirements and supported alert functions before use. A location alert does not itself provide assistance. Keep the organisation’s risk assessment, check-in arrangements and emergency response procedure in place.
